@Nigstesaba “psychological tests given (IDARE-1, IDARE-2 and CES-D) to the subjects demonstrate significant differences in anxiety and depression between groups. More anxiety and depression were reported in the no vegetarian groups in comparison with the vegetarian groups. In addition, diet analysis found more nutritional antioxidant agents levels in the vegetarian group” Bol Asoc Med PR 1998 Apr-Jun;90(4-6):58-68

  6. teddy0072 says:

Again, wonderful video with a great message.
Leave in harmony with nature, treat your body the way nature intended for it to be treated and you won’t believe how wonderful life can be.

  7. teddy0072 says:

Very good, very true points. I absolutely can relate to what you’re saying. I’ve been “there” myself and all along I felt that bringing about physical health is a major step towards feeling well (it may not be the only step that’s required, other steps may include changing your job, relationships, etc). Of course, I’m not 100% out of “there”, but I’m much, much better.

  8. snipsnapparty says:

This is all fine and good, but there are some people out there with serious mental health issues that wont be cured or helped by raw foods. Sorry. I believe raw foods are amazing, but in this instance I totally disagree.

  9. eatmoreraw says:

I feel the pits when my diet slips, but when I eat low fat raw food (almost all the time nowadays), then my body leaps for energy and joy. The brain is just like any other part of the body. Cut the crap out, and eat a very clean low fat diet then the rest of your body and your brain and sense of well being will bless you abundantly!

  10. frustratedoperator says:

green smoothies (just greens and fruit) is the best thing for improving my mood, thinking, and vibrations. I can feel it right away. kale, parsley, spinach, romaine, cilantro, etc. ~~ not all together, but different green smoothie every day.

Great vid thanks! I totally agree with what you said.

  11. Prethenie says:

This is so true. When I was a vegetarian, is when I was the happiest, and a much nicer person. Laughing. This morning I started raw, by having a bowl of brocolli with almond slivers and dried currants. It was a start, (gotta work on some receipes) rather than heading to Starbucks or Dunkin Doughnuts. The mind gets sharper, the body feels lighter, and so does it…..release all heaviness in Heart and Spirit!

  12. HoneyKristin says:

Excellent video. I might tell people to watch this if they call me a health nut.

  13. cate2728 says:

It’s funny because I ended up in the hospital for about a month…I had never felt so low and with my mind being so closed I didn’t think ‘hey you’ve been eating worse than you ever have!’, but in the back of my mind I was thinking that you are not healthy from eating bad and not working out. I didn’t think you have to do this now to change! It was that’s on the list. I would have done anything to get better, but at the time it was meds. I wish I knew then…

  14. ShlumMichelle says:

im pretty sure this isnt going to work but im going to try it anyway. thank you.

  15. mellowtonen says:

Hey man, just found your videos. Great topic on here because for 4 years I treated anxiety/depression with medication blindly following the doctors orders. Then a spark of light hit me 2-3 years ago and realized it was my eating habbits, going vegetarian COMPLETELY eliminated all anxiety symptoms, now I’m about half way into the Raw food thing.

  16. bluehoneycomb says:

    Awesome Awesome Awesome……!!!!!

  18. fruitariangirl says:

I have been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder since I was 14. I am 20 now. I agree with some of what you say. I think high raw or raw foods are much better than just increasing healthy food. I have been vegan, veg, and raw and I can say that raw would be the best IF one can handle the long detox. Just eating an organic unprossed whole cooked diet has done absolutely nothing for my mental health. .and i am on medicine because of it. medicine works. but i agree.. raw foods is that next step.

  19. luis04191 says:

Working in different arenas where either directly and/or indirectly mental stability and/or health has to do with the problems why I’m dealing with people is highly probable that your theory is on the money. For example; Larger number of people in an area where good nutritional environment is absent tend to be more unstable in their reasoning and judgment, as opposed to those in a good nutritional environment. Love, Peace

    God bless

  20. Nigstesaba says:

    Thank you for your information!

  23. pkingo1 says:

great video. you hit the nail on the head when describing depression, just being in a bad place

  24. anorexasaurus says:

Good food is the greatest medication. I am the only raw foodist that I know of, living in the city that I live in. I’ve had all kinds of mental and physical issues in my life, and increasing the amount of living foods has helped me a tremendous amount. I’ve been trying so hard to recover from stress and my own toxic lifestyle, I just really wish that there were other individuals practicing this kind of lifestyle locally. I need a coach!

  25. KEBokeh says:

I ate out all the time…at Taco Bell, KFC, McDonalds….yeah it tastes sooooo good but it changed me. I got fat, I grew depressed and life was hell. I truelly believe good foods can benefit a person’s well being. I watch what I eat now and things are slowly but surely moving in the right direction.

  26. SaffronChocolate says:

@pitchjazz No hun it’s not for real, just a rather clever spoof. Actually, one could take the word Irish out of the title–it would be just as funny and less racist.
